Your one rep max is the weight you can move once in an exercise. This calculator estimates that figure from the weight and number of repetitions you enter.
Calculate your own One Rep Max with our handy calculator!
Enter the weight and 1 to 10 repetitions for an estimate of your 1RM.
Estimated 1RM:
This is a formula-based estimate, not advice to lift these weights. Percentages and repetitions are indicative.
What the calculator calculates
The calculation uses weight × (1 + repetitions / 30). At 50 kg and 6 repetitions, the result is about 60 kg. For one repetition, the calculator shows the entered weight. Use two to ten repetitions for the estimate. It is a mathematical estimate. Your technique, chosen exercise and the circumstances of your set are not included in the formula.
Use a set from your log and enter the number of repetitions actually completed. The percentages below the result are also calculated indications. They do not prescribe what you should lift during your next workout.
Compare the same exercise under comparable conditions
A number is only useful if you know where it came from. Therefore, save the exercise, weight and repetitions from the original set. Do not simply compare a set on a different machine with the previous one: the resistance may feel different.
Do not treat the result as an invitation to attempt a maximum lift immediately. Discuss choosing training weights with your trainer. When reviewing training, the sets actually logged are often the clearest starting point.
