How to read the distribution
The total consists of the bar and all plates together. For 60 kg, for example, the 20 kg bar leaves 40 kg to add: 20 kg per side. The written result adds up the plates on both sides. The image shows one side of the bar.
The calculator uses plates of 25, 20, 15, 10, 5, 2,5 and 1,25 kg. Therefore, use total weights in 2,5 kg increments. A different bar or different plates require an adjusted calculation. The weight of collars is not included.
From calculation to training log
Always check the bar’s actual weight and the markings on the plates. In your training log , record the total weight so you can interpret a future session the same way. For dumbbells, agree whether you record per hand; do not mix these recording methods.
The tool distributes a chosen weight and does not determine which training weight suits you. Make that choice based on your plan and coaching.
